This web site was originally compiled to provide ACTRA Apprentices with a place to discuss or read about issues that affect the current ACTRA Apprenticeship programme.
In January 2004 new elections took place. The then Chair, John Henley, was stepping down as he had become a full member in May 2003, so was ineligible to continue in office.
The new Executive of the Apprentice Caucus want a more "official" web site so plan to develop one, in conjunction with ACTRA, on the main actratoronto.com web site, where there is already an Apprentice Caucus page.
With these changes in mind, I have been requested to remove the names, contact e-mail addresses and phone numbers of the new Executive from this page, and direct you to The Official Apprentice Site where you will find their contact information listed.
In due course, this particular web site will be removed, but information relating to student movie auditions and the various colleges that have student movie programmes will remain at this location for the time being. In the event that the information is moved to another location, you will be advised through this page.
John Henley, Past Chair
John has an extensive background in the magic business; entered the movie industry in 2000, became an Apprentice Member in 2001 and a full member of ACTRA in May 2003. He has served on the Membership Committee, Background Agent Committee, and represented background performers at the 2003 IPA negotiations. More recently he was recruited by ACTRA to be an OSLO (On Set Liaison Officer) representing actors on set.
