SYNOPSIS:
This is going to be a clip of the pilot episode to entice a network to pick up the show. This is a description of the clip itself.
Blaire is about to turn 16 and about to join a new family, and this family isn’t into keeping up with the Jones’. Unbeknownst to her, Blaire’s bizarre experiences have an explanation, only it’s supernatural. A few short hours after meeting her new family they sit down to dinner. It is during this dinner that Blaire recalls an unexplainable seemingly out of body experience, provoked by Rumer, the mischievous baby of the family. The entire family has magical abilities but Rumer is the one going out of her way to let Blaire know. (This isn’t your average foster family!)

9 BREAKDOWNS:
1.Female / 31-40 yrs. / White. Akasha - 40 : Foster mother of the girls, whimsical, almost gypsy like style of dress ( flowing wild hair, old timey jewels), caring, deep sense of responsibility, faith in nature and above all wise far beyond her years.
2. Female / 15-17 yrs. / White. Blaire - 15 turning 16 : Newest to the family, reserved because she has been misunderstood and misdiagnosed her whole life. The concept of a normal adolescence is foreign to her (Blaire would gladly take a few zits in exchange for her problems). Unaware of her powers she questions her own sanity, attractive in an unassuming way, nice but can seem mean or standoffish because she is so misunderstood (a life of rejection has left her jaded).
3. Female / 15-17 yrs. / White. Courtney - 15 : A child of privilege and, in many ways, resents her foster family for being different. Gorgeous, popular, superficial, unaccepting of her powers (denies them, lies to herself and pretends she is "normal" ). Outspoken but never talks about her home life at school.
4. Female / 31-40 yrs. / White. Mrs. Johnston - 42 : Conservative, God fearing wife and mother. Loves her family, active member of the P.T.A among other organizations and social clubs. Prides herself on her morals and her well behaved, well mannered, practically perfect children. Took Blaire in as a foster child so Derek could use it as a good Samaritan-like act on his college resume; it was more selfish than it was giving. Hypocritical in many ways and very concerned about what people will think. Upper-middle class.
5. Female / 11-14 yrs. / White. Chrissy - 14: Perky, bubbly, sweet on the outside but very judgmental towards those who aren’t as perfect as her family. A cheerleader and an honor student. Involved in church, charities, social clubs, anything and everything that makes her perfect not to mention an appealing college applicant. Plans to marry a man even wealthier than her father and be the best mom ever---education is just for show.
6. Male / 18-24 yrs. / White. Derek - 17 : "All American boy", star athlete, B student (gets special treatment because he is the captain of the football team); very attractive, well built and a little on the cocky side. Believes in God because that’s what he was taught; patriotic, again because that’s what he was taught and he has a strong love of family but that too was drilled in his head. Upper-middle class.
7. Female / 11-14 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. Rumer - 14 : Baby of the family, attention seeker, loves the spotlight and takes pride in her powers (will sometimes use them to scare outsiders), a tad nosy, drama queen. Makes friends easily, pretty girl, hangs with a different crowd every couple of months (Goth to punk to hippie etc), friendly and confident.
8. Female / 15-17 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. Drew - 15 : Sees Akasha as her biological mother, shares her faith in nature, naturally inquisitive and thinks scientifically. Like Akasha, Drew is wise beyond her years. The girl next door type, sweet, caring, reserved, extremely intelligent (nose is always in a book), unaware of her physical beauty.
9. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. Doctor - 50 : Well respected and reputable, conservative and deliberate.
