Production: The Boss (A Short Film)
Location: Toronto
Employer: Robanzo Pictures. This is a TIP (Toronto Indie Production) project and open to ACTRA members only.
AUDITIONS: Initial auditions will be held on December 15 & 16 (location to be determined - somewhere in downtown TO) between Noon and 6pm. Please apply regardless of audition dates, there will be more auditions in the future.
SHOOT: "The Boss" will be shot in late April, 2008 for a possible 3-4 day stretch.

About the Director:
Brooks Hunter graduated from Sheridan College in 2005 for Media Arts and has since been directing corporate videos, music videos, and short films in Toronto with his production company, Robanzo Pictures. One of his most recent shorts, "Happy Now" has garnered attention from various North American film festivals such as 'The Canadian Filmmakers Festival' in Toronto and 'The Action On Film Festival' in Long Beach. Brooks has also gained valuable industry experience by working for companies such as Stage 29 Productions, Paramount Pictures, and The Little Film Company in Los Angeles.

SYNOPSIS:
Two parents are looking forward to having dinner with their daughter's new boyfriend. They are suddenly shocked to find out that she's dating a much older man who happens to be her father's boss! (A short comedy along the lines of Meet the Parents).
BREAKDOWNS:
1. MOTHER / 40 - 60 / Any Ethnicity - a loving housewife who's slightly eccentric and not scared to share her opinion.
2. FATHER / 40 - 60 / Any Ethnicity - a stressed out, mentally tired man, who's overly protective of his daughter but scared of his boss.
3. DAUGHTER / 18 - 25 / Any Ethnicity - a young and vibrant woman with a good head on her shoulders who feels very independent and does as she pleases.
4. BOSS / 30 - 60 / Any Ethnicity - a very sharp man with a good sense of humour. Not easily intimidated, he finds this peculiar situation quite interesting.
