Production: A Mutual Hatred (A Short Film)

Location: Toronto

Employer: Robanzo Pictures. This is a TIP (Toronto Indie Production) project and open to ACTRA members only.

AUDITIONS: Initial auditions will be held on December 15 & 16 (location to be determined - somewhere in downtown TO) between Noon and 6pm. Please apply regardless of audition dates, there will be more auditions in the future.

SHOOT: "A Mutual Hatred" will be shot in late February / early March.

About the Director:
Brooks Hunter graduated from Sheridan College in 2005 for Media Arts and has since been directing corporate videos, music videos, and short films in Toronto with his production company, Robanzo Pictures. One of his most recent shorts, "Happy Now" has garnered attention from various North American film festivals such as 'The Canadian Filmmakers Festival' in Toronto and 'The Action On Film Festival' in Long Beach. Brooks has also gained valuable industry experience by working for companies such as Stage 29 Productions, Paramount Pictures, and The Little Film Company in Los Angeles.

SYNOPSIS:
Two cowboys are mysteriously transported into the future and wind up in a lower class strip joint. When they find each other, all hell breaks loose in an ultimate fight to the death. (an action comedy with a unique story and some great zaniness!)

BREAKDOWNS:

1. SCRANK PAPLES / 20 - 50 / Any Ethnicity - A daring and adventurous man with a rough past determined to fight evil and bring justice to the world.

2. COYOTE JETFACE / 20 -50 / Any Ethnicity - A sinister and dark man who likes to watch others suffer. With truly twisted tastes, he is sure to cause trouble wherever he goes.

3. WAITRESS / 19 - 27 / Any Ethnicity - A innocent and kind woman trying to make a living to feed her fatherless baby. She's a hard worker with a sweet persona.

4. MAIN STRIPPER / 19 - 25 / Any Ethnicity - (We need a stripper to dance in the club topless to groovy music). She'll have lines and will be the key witness to the fight as she's taken hostage! Must be a good dancer to pull off stripper-esque moves.

5. SIDE STRIPPERS / 19 - 25 / Any Ethnicity - (We need other strippers to dance in the club topless to groovy music). Must be good dancers to pull off stripper-esque moves.
