SYNOPSIS:

Set in a 1950s noir world. ED confesses to his wife MARY that he is holding a dark secret; something he knows will devastate her. Suddenly, a knock at the door. Ed is whisked away by a strange group of men and Mary is left to wonder what her husband has done. Later on Ed comes back with the bizarre men hot on his tracks. Mary must decide if she wants to help her husband, but more importantly if she can resist the need to know his shady secret to preserve order in the household.

3 breakdowns: 1. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. ED: In the conservative patriarchal system, Ed looks the part of a typical, loving husband. He does his best to provide for Mary, always making sure she has everything she needs - frills included. On the surface he is a great husband but beneath his ordinary layers, Ed is a mysterious man with a fair share of dark secrets.

2. Male / Any yrs. / Any Ethnicity. DARK MEN: These men seem to arrive at Ed and Mary’s household unannounced, but they have good reason to be there. Grim and intimidating by appearance, they pursue Mary and advise her not to protect Ed or ignore his secret. Although their presence is unusual, they materialize to help Mary and they don’t mind throwing fists to do so. Casting for 3 Dark Men.

3. Female / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. MARY: Mary is a model housewife who dedicates her life to keeping her husband happy. She enjoys her mundane lifestyle of cooking, cleaning and preserving order in the household and she loves Ed dearly. Throughout their ten-year marriage, Mary has always trusted Ed - until now. In"Under Wraps", she is forced to break away from routine and battle her nagging doubt.
