SYNOPSIS:
Arriving in Canada less than a month ago, Azad works for a bakery as a cake delivery man to start his new life. Knowing nobody in this foreign country, he tries to make small talk with his customers in order to better his English skills and to find companionship. Braving the cold weather one day he comes across a delivery with less address information than normal and is force to go door to door to find his recipient. This light comedy tracks Azad’s struggle to deliver his cake as he meets several interesting characters and gets mixed up in peculiar situations.

1. HANNAH: Female / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian. A charming young woman with a delightful smile. Clumsy and forgetful, she will always go out of her way to reach out to lend a helping hand, expecting nothing in return.
2. ERIC: Male / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian. A slick and suave gentlemen with a cheerful attitude, this handsome guy was the popular kid in high school that everybody knows and gets along with. Eric is the host of a high school reunion party, which Azad mistakenly walks into.
3. RAVI: Male / 25-30 yrs. / Asian. South Asian, host of the party and Eric’s roommate. This talkative social butterfly is constantly making his rounds through the party making sure everyone is having a good time.
4. MEL: Female / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. Mel is a highly outgoing flirtatious girl with a dazzling smile that never fades. She has a thousand stories and wants you to hear everyone of them. Well aware of her good looks and charm she isn’t afraid to showcase a bit if it means getting the attention of the cute guy across the room.
5. REILLY: Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. Irish/British. Reilly isn’t a fighter, but a playful jokester with an incredibly hard to understand accent. A well-built and thick man who means business. The city boy version of Mickey O’Neil (Snatch) with a better heart.
6. PEGGY: Female / 61+ yrs. / Any Ethnicity. A sweet frail lady who lives independently and is hard of hearing. Peggy is a gentle grandmother who keeps to herself and is caught up in her own little world.
7. AARON: Male / 25-30 yrs. / Caucasian. An overweight, goofball slob. Aaron is a major hockey fan and never misses his favorite team play. Easily distracted by the TV, Aaron cares only about who won last night’s game.
8. AZAD: Male / 25-30 yrs. / Middle Eastern. Azad is a newly arrived immigrant working hard as a cake delivery man, while searching for friendship and acceptance in a new society. Friendly and outgoing, he is a scruffy out of place fellow struggling to learn English and meet new people. Ability to speak a language in addition to English is an asset.
