Production: The Durian Experience (Short Film)

SYNOPSIS:

A 15 minute piece examining the friendship between two high school seniors: Wendell and Dom. While coping with post-break up blues, Wendell appreciates his friendship with Dom more than ever. However it isn't long before insecurities begin to mount and the strength of this relationship is put to the test.

This is a third year production at York University. Actra contracts will be used as per the Student Movie Agreement, however all are welcome and encouraged to apply regardless of union status. Only successful applicants will be contacted for auditions.

1. Male / Any yrs. / Caucasian. WENDELL: The typical high school athlete/boy next door who finds himself in a position of vulnerability after a messy break up with his girlfriend. MUST LOOK TO BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16 AND 18.

2. Male / Any yrs. / Caucasian. DOM: A high school student with a 'jack of all trades' appeal. Well liked, confident in himself and a genuinely good friend to Wendell. MUST LOOK TO BE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 16 AND 18.
