Based on the true story about a terrorist group's suicide bomber recruitment strategy, "Shame" is the story of Amani, a young Iraqi woman who is raped, and then blackmailed into becoming a suicide bomber. Living in a country with few female rights, she is unable to report the rape for fear of being charged with adultery, and bringing shame upon herself and her family. When the terrorist group who organized the rape threatens to expose the shameful event, Amani is powerless. They convince her that the only way to reclaim her honor is by giving her life in the name of Allah.
