Production: "The Thaw" (Short Film)

Location: Toronto

Employer: RC Filmco.

Duration: 2 days, starts June 6 with full dress rehearsal at some time between June 1st and 5th.

Director: Randy Cruz. I am an MA student looking to shoot a short film for my major thesis project.

Synopsis:

The film is about a retired doctor in hiding who has a physical and mental illness that is growing increasingly worse. When he is suddenly visited by the unexpected, we realize there is more to his sickness than he cares to reveal. This film is a thriller/drama, and would be shot over 2 days on a weekend, in studio.

2 Breakdowns:

1. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian. The doctor character should be middle-to late aged, so 41-50 isn't fixed. If you have an anxiety ridden persona, this is definitely for you.

2. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian. Requires Partial Nudity. There also isn't a fixed age range for the ghost character, but again, he should be middle to late aged. There will be a subtle flash of a midsection (torso), but other than that, there will be no nudity. This part would be great for those with stage experience.
