Synopsis: Sarah, a young idealistic woman, and Ilana, her conservative Jewish mother, have troubles continuing a bond when Sarah gets engaged to a man of a different religions. Sarah must decide if she has the strength to do what she feels is right and Ilana struggles with her beliefs versus the love for her only daughter.

1. Female / 18-24 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. SARAH: 20-30 yrs Independent and successful, she was raised in a moderately religious Jewish household. She has a strong will and won't be told what to do easily. For most of her life she had an extremely close bond with her mother, but when Sarah gets engaged to a middle eastern Muslim man, her family cuts all contact. Sarah becomes heart broken and misses her family, but knows deep down she has made the right decision.
2. Female / 41-50 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. ILANA: 45-50 yrs A loving Jewish housewife and mother. She has a basic education because she spent her life building her family. Despite not having deep seated beliefs in her religion, she followed what she was taught and married a respectable Jewish man. Being a loyal wife, she supports her husband's belief that their daughter should only marry within in the religion. Her love for her daughter and her obligation to her husband and religion cause her inner turmoil.
3. Male / 18-24 yrs. / Middle Eastern. CRIS: 20-30 yrs Middle eastern Muslim man who is madly in love with his Jewish fiancee Sarah. Although her family does not approve of him, it hurts him to see Sarah in pain and tries to convince her there is still hope. and believes that with time everyone will come around. He is the one solid force in Sarah's life. His strength, kindness, and optimism keeps her going.
4. Male / 51-60 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. EYTAN: 50-55 Religious Jewish man and head of the family, set in his ways. He has a very strong, stern presence. (Non speaking role)
