SYNOPSIS:
Ethan (25), lives a mundane life working at a library. After meeting a girl named Halina (25), Ethan finds himself falling in love. After falling off a bookshelf and landing on his head, Ethan is bursting out in song. A trip to the doctor's office reveals he has 'the singing disease'. Every time he sees Halina he's tempted to sing. Ethan secures a date with Halina but struggles as he bites his tongue from singing. Taken off guard by Ethan's odd behavior Halina starts to dance with another guy at the club. With all hope lost Ethan bursts into song in front of a whole club of people exclaiming his love for Halina. She swoons, they kiss, and he's cured of the singing disease and the whole club dances into the credits.
Characters:
ETHAN: Male. Age 18-29. Any ethnicity. Must be able to sing. A depressed 25 year old who lives a mundane and boring life working at a library. He's had his share of failed relationships, with girls getting bored with his personality or cheating on him. This rejection has forced him into not taking as many risks in life. This is changed once he meets Halina. After he hits his head and bursts out into song Ethan makes it his goal to get Halina and stay happy.
Characteristics before the fall: depressed, sarcastic, nervous. Characteristics after the fall: upbeat, enthusiastic, bursting with energy, goal orientated but inhibited by his own nerves and the singing disease.
HALINA: Female. Age 18-29. Any ethnicity. Does not have to be able to sing. A literature major at University, Halina shares the same interests as ETHAN in books and music. She's a stylish woman whose attractive enough to get the jocks but smart enough not to want them. In ETHAN she finds someone she can relate to, a bit of an introvert. She's got a quirky sense of humor and she's not afraid to show it.
