SYNOPSIS:
While waiting for the results of a pregnancy test, aspiring chef Braxton Hicks considers the doomsday scenario of impending fatherhood. His musings find their way into after work banter, and the bar pine of his local watering hole, as his sensible concerns turn to paranoid thoughts of having thrown away his best years. Kinda Blue is a COMEDIC look into the male naiveté towards adulthood and the prospect of settling down.
BREAKDOWNS:
**BRAXTON - LEAD** MALE / AGE 20-30
Braxton is an aspiring chef who lives with his girlfriend Sandra. He is ambitious, but still
exemplifies much of the adolescent male dread towards commitment and having a
family. In light of the news that Sandra could be pregnant, Braxton worries it will spell
the end of his aspirations, reducing him to a life of unrealized potential and mediocre
cuisine. However, he loves Sandra enough to stick by her no matter what, which
increases his paranoia. Braxton is an outgoing individual with a quick wit and a sarcastic
sense of humor that is matched only by that of his girlfriend. It’s this sense of humor that
draws people towards him, also acting as a means of defusing tension during times of
stress.

NATE: Male / Age 20-30
A regular at the Le Braisserie, the neighborhood bar. Crude, jaded, and on the verge of being a father, the scruffy bar patron uses his girlfriends cravings for rainbow sherbert as a way of visiting his local watering hole.
