SYNOPSIS:
"Breaking Point" is the story about a man’s journey through one of the darkest days of his life and the division it creates in a small rural town. One year ago, Michael lost his wife and son during a drunk driving accident. Now the man responsible is getting out of jail. Michael seeks revenge; Thomas seeks forgiveness.

1. Female / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. KATHERINE: SUPPORT. FEMALE. MID 30’S. CAUCASIAN. Michael’s wife. Cheerful, warm, and bright. She displays great affection to her son and husband, revealing the life Michael had before his loss.
2. Female / 61+ yrs. / Caucasian. MRS. POLLACK: SUPPORT. FEMALE. MID 60’s. CAUCASIAN. Loyal and friendly, Mrs. Pollack has known Beverly since she was a child. While not condoning Thomas’ actions, she holds an objective view of the situation. She believes her friend, Mrs. Tabernathy, should mind her own business.
3. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. MICHAEL: LEAD. MALE. MID 30’S. CAUCASIAN. Once a man full of life and vitality, Michael is now empty and incomplete. Distant, sorrowful, and determined, he lives merely to seek justice for the pain he suffers. Unable to overcome his loss, Michael is planning for his confrontation with the man responsible, Thomas.
4. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. THOMAS: SUPPORT. MALE. MID 30’S. CAUCASIAN. A man wracked with guilt from the biggest mistake he made in life. He knows the error in his ways and wishes he could take back his actions. Part of him seeks forgiveness, the other part knows he shouldn’t get it.
5. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. MR. RATNER: SUPPORT. MALE. MID 30’s CAUCASIAN. Hard-edged and bold, Mr. Ratner holds a conservative view on the world and the ruling of the law. Excuses or not, he views Thomas’ actions as wrong, and believes the judge let him off on an easy sentence. A man of the law, he also knows that Michael’s plans for Thomas’ return may not be that welcoming.
6. Male / 6-10 yrs. / Caucasian. PAUL: SUPPORT. MALE. CHILD 7-10. CAUCASIAN. Michael’s son. Energetic and lively. Enveloped in a world of superheroes and action figures, he lives in the moment, concerned with the here and now.
7. Female / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian. BEVERLY: SUPPORT. FEMALE. MID 30s. CAUCASIAN. Thomas’ wife. Struggling with gossip and the consequences of her husband’s actions, she puts on a cheerful façade as she works to pay her bills. She loves her husband unconditionally.
8. Male / 6-10 yrs. / Caucasian. EVAN: SUPPORT. MALE. CHILD 7-10. CAUCASIAN. Thomas’ son. Innocent and protective. He looks up to his father admiringly. He is too young to understand the calamity of his father’s actions, or why he was gone for a year.
